Environmental Safety Group is pleased to announce the delivery of Zumro Rapid Inflatable Shelters to the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Chicago. The system provides a pre-plumbed decontamination shelter, the New Zumro 860 sq ft shelter offering surge mobile hospital setting and a Quad interface shelter for command and control operations. This order is in addition to the over 200 shelters currently in use within the State of Illinois alone.
These complete turn-key systems will enable Jesse Brown VAMC to provide critical services in a mobile setting to veterans over an extended amount of time regardless of weather conditions. The shelters are interoperable with the existing shelters at the Chicago Fire Department, Chicago Police Department, Chicago Department of Public Health, and the Department of Emergency Operations Center (OEMC).
The new Model 860 is designed for the growing need of Medical Surge Capacity or other large scale emergencies. The shelter which can be deployed in as little as 5-minutes has a Large diameter tapered airframe structure capable of holding tremendous loads (wind, snow, ice, rain) even at very low air pressure. The closed system airframe does not require continuous inflation, which means a truly portable shelter capable of extended operations. The shelters are designed for the harshest environments and are made 100 % in the U.S.A. with a 5 year warranty.
With the growing demands placed on emergency responders, and public service providers the flexibility of the Zumro Shelters can meet their various needs. The shelters can be utilized as a mobile field hospital, communications center, command post, decontamination showers, crew quarters, etc. The flexibility of the design is only limited by the client’s imagination.
